Gone to Ground by Brandilyn Collins

Over the past three years, five women in Amaryllis, Mississippi have lost their lives to The Closet Killer, and now a sixth is dead.  Amaryllis isn't some big dangerous city, it's a scrappy little southern town where everyone knows each other and gossip wafts on the breeze.  It just doesn't seem right that someone in the close knit community could be a serial killer?

Three seemingly ordinary women have suspicions that they know just who killed the latest victim--but each one suspects a different man.  Each of the men had motive and opportunity.  Filled with fear and apprehension the women reach out to each other in desperation and voice their concerns.  Now together they must unravel the mystery of who the real perpetrator is, before he takes them all out.

Though somewhat different from Brandilyn Collins many other Seatbelt Suspense novels, Gone to Ground will keep you on the edge of your seat nonetheless.  Just when you think you know who the killer is, Brandilyn twists things around and sends you running in another direction.  All the suspects are dangerous and any could be the killer.  Because each man looks good for the crime it's hard to predict what the killer will do next--or who will be his next victim.

Brandilyn Collins is one of those authors who's books are always worth reading, and this book is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating.

So which of Brandilyn's books is your favorite?  Have you read this one?  Leave a comment and share your thoughts.
